Bergen County Shomrim Watch

Bergen County Shomrim Watch (BCSW) exists to protect and support the safety of Bergen County’s Jewish community through disciplined observation, rapid volunteer response, and trusted coordination with law enforcement and emergency services. We provide a visible, trained presence via nightly patrol operations and we respond to community calls for suspicious activity, and other safety concerns.

BCSW’s Search & Rescue (SAR) mission is to help bring missing people home safely and quickly. When a missing person incident or related crisis emerges, we mobilize trained local volunteers to coordinate search efforts, support families, and provide timely, organized field operations—while escalating to and working alongside police/EMS and other trusted agencies.

We are a community-based force multiplier: our members live here, know the neighborhoods, and can deploy quickly with structured command/dispatch, clear on-scene roles, and consistent reporting so that information is actionable for leadership and—when needed—our public-safety partners.
